Frequently Asked Questions

  • While having your own bike makes logistics easier for you, there are other options if you don’t have a bike! We will have access to some bikes, so if you’re in need of a bike to use throughout the weekend mention that when you register. There are multiple places to rent bikes from around town as well so if we exhaust our supply, we’ve got alternatives for you! Stay tuned as we develop this further.

  • That’s great— You’ve come to the right place!

Grit Fest was built to create a safe and inclusive riding environment for riders of all abilities. In our efforts to create more racial and gender diversity in cycling and the outdoors, we recognize that opportunities to try-out mountain biking are often lacking. We are working to combat that by making Grit Fest a place for brand new and seasoned riders alike!

  • All registration is online. You can purchase tickets HERE. There will not be any on-site registration.

  • We will be updating the schedule on our Instagram as new programs get added.

  • Short answer—it kind of depends! If you are camping on-site, you’ll need to bring a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, etc. Additionally, you’ll need a bike + helmet, clothes you’re comfortable riding in, clothes for hanging out in, and of course, lots of stoke.

We also recommend bringing a journal/pen to take notes in during workshops, a reusable bag to stuff goodies in, a personal coffee mug for morning coffee, and a yoga mat (sleeping pad works too!).

We will be posting a “what to pack” info sheet in our Facebook Group so that if this is one of your first times packing for a camping trip or an event like this, we’ve got you covered. Additionally, if you’re in need of gear our Facebook Group is a great place to ask for what you need in hopes the community can provide.

  • Yes! All meals are included. Here are the deets—

We’ve got you covered for all meals Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning breakfast and lunch. We will also be offering coffee each morning!

You’re always welcome to make meals on your own if you want.

  • Camping is included in your festival ticket, so you can fully immerse yourself in the Grit Fest experience at Centennial Park! We take over the park for the weekend, and most attendees choose to camp onsite. The camping is dispersed, with a designated parking lot a short walk from the campsite.

Event setup will take place from 10 AM to 3 PM on Thursday, with camping opening at 4 PM. Please note that there will be no security on-site Thursday evening.

Tent Camping: For those bringing tents, our volunteers will be on hand to help you find a spot on a first-come, first-serve basis. Don’t worry—there’s plenty of space for everyone! The campsite is conveniently located within short walking or riding distance to the festival’s home base, so you can easily stroll or bike to breakfast each morning. Plus, with the Razorback Greenway nearby, exploring Fayetteville’s local scene is just a bike ride away.

Vans, RVs, and Trailers: If you’re coming in a conversion van, camper van, RV, or trailer, we’ve got you covered! There are designated spots away from the tent camping area where you can set up. Just make sure to park in a designated area within the park grounds.

Please note, while Centennial Park has good cell phone service (perfect for checking in on kids, pets, etc.), there won’t be official security at the campsite, so you'll be responsible for your belongings.

Hotels: If camping isn’t your thing, there are several hotels conveniently located at the base of Centennial Park, including Days Inn by Wyndham, Baymont by Wyndham, and Extended Stay America Select Suites. These are the closest options, and they’re less than a mile from the festival site—an easy bike or walk away.

Travel: For those flying in, Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) is the closest and most convenient option, though flights can be pricier. Tulsa International Airport is another option, located about two hours from Northwest Arkansas. If you need a ride from the airport, our Facebook group is a great resource for coordinating with other festival-goers. A rental car isn’t necessary since you can easily walk or bike to the festival from the nearby hotels.

If you need to go into town, ride shares are fairly easy to come by in Fayetteville.

All your meals for the weekend are provided, so you can focus on enjoying the festival without worrying about food!

  • If plans change and life happens and you are no longer to attend Grit Fest, you have the option of transferring the ticket to someone else with a small service fee. We will not be offering any refunds on ticket purchases or clinics.

  • Kids are not allowed at the fest. We want you to be able to ride, invest in yourself, build community, and learn without distraction.

  • As much as we love pups + those adorable adventure cats, we do ask that your furry pals stay at home. We want our attendees to have as few distractions as possible and get to be fully present with the people around them.
